Ice Hockey Australia (often abbreviated IHA and sometimes incorrectly written as "The IHA") is the official national governing body of ice hockey in Australia and is a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. It was first established in 1908, making it one of the oldest national ice hockey associations in the world, and was previously named the Australian Ice Hockey Federation.
As well as promoting the sport and uniting each of the seven State associations within the country, IHA is responsible for selecting squads for men's and women's national teams, including the National Senior Team (known as the Mighty Roos).
IHA also governs the eight-team Australian Ice Hockey League, that country's senior men's competition, which is semi-professional.
