IBM Configuration Management Version Control (CMVC)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Configuration Management Version Control (CMVC) is a software package that serves as an object repository, and performs software version control, configuration management, and change management functions. It was sold and distributed through the mid-late 1990s by the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM).
CMVC sales and support terminated some time after IBM acquired Rational Software, its functions being superseded by products in the Rational product line (IBM Rational ClearCase and IBM Rational ClearQuest). However, some customer installations of CMVC remain in use as of 2008, and it is still widely used within IBM.
