[edit] Notability of Jenni Potts

A tag has been placed on Jenni Potts requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. SWik78 (talk) 21:53, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:JenniPotts.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:JenniPotts.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 01:56, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jenni Potts

Hey, I'm not gonna bother with it, but I think Jenni Potts probably does satisfy {WP:N|notability guidelines]], but the article very obviously has text taken from the ClickPop website, or press release, which is unacceptable. The article should be written from a neutral point of view, with an encyclopedic tone of voice. As is, it sounds like a press release written by someone who obviously likes Potts' music. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Otherwise, I imagine the article will just get deleted again. Murderbike (talk) 03:22, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] external links

Please remember that wikipedia is not a link directory. Read WP:EL External links guideline, since it will be probably cited to remove some of the links on the Jenni Potts article. --Enric Naval (talk) 22:55, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Congrats on your last edits, I saw you actually read and followed WP:EL, which will probable help on keeping the page on the wikipedia --Enric Naval (talk) 14:55, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] re-creation of speedly deleted article

I just noticed that you re-created an article that was speedy deleted by an admin. You should either look at the reasons provided by the admin and try to address them or stop recreating the page. The admin that deleted the page has been warned (I am not an admin, this is an informal advice to you). --Enric Naval (talk) 23:08, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:JenniPotts.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:JenniPotts.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:30, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD Nomination: Jenni Potts

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Jenni Potts meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jenni Potts. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article.

This artist does not qualify for notable musician, according to the guidelines listed on then the wikipedia policy called WP:MUSIC. If the result of the nomination is the deletion of the page, then please don't recreate it again, specially if you arent' giving any reasons. A mention on the record company that has published her record will have to be enough for now until she becomes notable enough with time --Enric Naval (talk) 15:25, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
