WikiProject Musical Theatre tasks:
edit this Open Tasks template
- Articles needing a content fork
- Mainly, these are articles on films and either their source or subsequent musicals. There are a couple where the musical needs to be "forked" from the source material. Feel free to add or remove as necessary. Important: If you split an article, please make sure that you move all the relevant links from the first article to the new one. To find which links to move, click on "What links here" at the old article and look through the list to see which links should be pointed to the film related link (for example, articles on actors in the film). Then, click on those links and update them to point to the film article. Thanks!

Editing Guidelines |
Please remember these guidelines when editing a film article:
- If a non-film article already exists with the name of the film that you are trying to create an article for, disambiguate and use (film) in the title: Film Title (film)
- When writing an article about a particular film, the general format should be a concise lead section, followed by a plot summary of no more than 900 words, production details, a cast list, a reception section, and references.
- Create an Infobox that tells all pertinent information about the film.

This is a template to generate links to the Internet Broadway Database. This template should be used exclusively for PEOPLE.
To link to a show title, use Template:ibdb title; to link to a venue, use Template:ibdb venue.
[edit] Instructions
- Go to IBDB.com and search for the person you want
- Click on the correct link to go to the person's page. Be sure you're getting the right person
- The page URL should look like http://www.ibdb.com/person.asp?ID=#####, where "#####" indicates a number.
- Copy ONLY that number (be sure to remove "ID=")
- Add to the external links section the text:
- {{ibdb name|id=#####|name=Name}}
- where "#####" is the number you have copied, and "Name" is the person's name.
[edit] Example
- Searching for "Matthew Broderick", you'll reach this page: http://www.ibdb.com/person.asp?id=33099
- Copy "33099" and then write:
- {{ibdb name|id=33099|name=Matthew Broderick}}
The result is: Matthew Broderick at the Internet Broadway Database
Note that, since this will almost certainly go on the external link section, you should add a * before the template text to include it as a list item.
