[edit] body construction

i have one of these guitars, and im not convinced the body is solid. i had to do some carving on it to make it thinner to put a new volume control in. it looked and felt to me like it was plywood. im not certain, and i don't want to start removing a bunch of finish to be certain. maybe someone with a trashed out one can check it out

This person that is debating the artical is not very knowledgeable in the field of guitars. I own a gax 70 and a ax7221, both are very well built and only a slight difference in wieght. I have even done work on the gax and have proof that it is solid body.
