[edit] 'Filter' reorganisation

Hi,

I've just come across the mess that is Filter and was planning to get stuck in, then noticed you'd just started a few edits. Do you have a Grand Plan for this? Shall I hold off?

knock yourself out. :-) - Omegatron 18:56, Apr 12, 2005 (UTC)
What is your plan? - Omegatron 21:43, Apr 12, 2005 (UTC)

I've basically finished a first cut - Filter should probably not be too big and baffling. The best page on filters in the signal processing sense seems to be electronic filter, which most sub-pages should probably refer back to. I want to make sure everything's in the 'Electronic Filters' category, to avoid massive link farms between each of the pages.

ok. just looked like you deleted a lot of links. not sure how many of them are real articles and how many should just be linked from other articles... - Omegatron 23:03, Apr 12, 2005 (UTC)

A lot of the stuff that was there linked to 'electronic', 'algorithm', 'sound effects' and so on which looked to me like clutter; it's very unlikely you'd type in Filter if that's what you wanted to know about. Also, I wanted to make it clear that 'active filter', 'digital filter' are all subclasses of 'signal-processing filter'; in fact electronic filter seemed the best page to cover the concept.
