[edit] tag article

Just wondering why you removed the info on "not it" from this article.... Lachatdelarue (talk) 15:23, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)

 • Sorry, should have explained it further. It was rambling, going off on a tangent on a singular way of how to select the "it" of the game. Just saying "simpler games" to determine this (giving the two self-explanatory games as examples) is much easier to read. Ian Pugh 19:08, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks alot for the barnstar; I really appreciate it. Nice to know my work is appreciated (or, in this case, my ramblings). I still feel we haven't really solved much, but I feel better knowing at least I've made my point about as well as I can. I think the VfD vote for Dinner At Eight might help decide what happens next (although it appears that a solid majority for delete or merge do not necessarily mean either will happen, e.g. Green Hill Zone). Recently I de-linked all the Frasier episodes that were red (all but 3 out of some 200 or so), hoping to at least discourage more such articles, but I had my work reverted. If Dinner at Eight is deleted I'll revert the revert, and probably do the same for other episode lists.

I sort of wish I had gotten involved in some other discussions as well. There was a discussion on the Kings of Numenor, which I even have a proposal for dealing with on my userpage, but I sort of missed the boat. I think RickK would have carried the day with his brinksmanship anyway. Well, I guess it just gives me more time to write articles. Anyway, thanks again. -R. fiend 19:17, 16 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Dennis Miller

Your point about pop culture is valid; however, don't you think the quote also disrupts the encyclopedic nature of the article, being smack dab in the middle of his biography? There's another section with quotes about him that may be a good place to put it, but even then I don't think it's necessary. I didn't want to be rude and revert your edit back to my own, but just wanted to discuss it. Ian Pugh 00:59, 20 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Yes, I understand your point. It really does take away from the first part of the article. I think it might be better to put the Simpsons reference along with the other reference at the bottom of the article. But it's important to keep the reference in the article somewhere. --G3pro 01:13, 20 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

[edit] still around? (bucky)

just curious.. what inspired you to make the page for the Bucky O'Hare arcade game? I've added to the article, and still play it (via emulation).

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Superman75.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Superman75.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG 18:14, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
