[edit] Contradiction
So which is it?
- He was formerly a captain in the British Special Air Service, later working for MI5. He underwent behavioural modifications so he could go deep undercover, but the conditioning caused him to forget his past and became bodyguard for Kenneth Irons.
- Ian was raised from childhood by Kenneth Irons to be the perfect warrior, learning several forms of combat and studying Sun Tzu's Art of War. As an adult, Irons retains Nottingham in his employ with a seven-figure salary, and access to Irons' extensive laser disc collection.
In the first, he is an exemplary British citizen (necessary to enter either SAS or MI5), who suffers amnesia from special conditioning and enters the service of Irons. In the second, he is raised from early childhood by Irons as a "perfect warrior". Since the main action takes place in the US, Nottingham would not be able to enter SAS or MI5 (and presumably wouldn't need to do so, since Irons has already taught him to be the "perfect warrior, learning several forms of combat") and entering Irons' service would not require amnesia since he would already be intimate with him.
Am I missing something, or is this self-contradictory, or is it just badly written and misleading? 12.22.250.4 18:54, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] ian's procedence
There is nothing contradictory in there , ian was a boy raised by kenneth irons and a militar who went under a re- programation to serve irons as a bodyguard.
Ian Nottingham is a British and Native American descendant and first appeared in Witchblade #1. Formally a Captain of the Special Airs Service for the MI5(British Security Service). He underwent modifications towards his behavior to be able to go undercover perfectly. He has been raised since a child by Kenneth Irons, who wanted to mold him into the perfect warrior. He is a master Sun Tzu's Art of War and as an adult, stays employed by Kenneth Irons. He has also once been romantically involved with Sara Pezzini.[1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.82.138.39 (talk) 14:47, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Image:Excalibur.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
