Talk:Ian Henderson (police officer)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I do not understand the need to keep reverting this to the shorter version of the page. Can the person who keeps doing this supply:
- A reason to indicate the information on the current version about his activities in Bahrain is inaccurate? After all, some relevant external links are provided.
- Proof to support the information about him being awarded the CBE, etc? In that case, I would suggest adding it to the current page, rather than replacing the current content.

Response: Source is 'HM UK Government and Government of Bahrain' - the previous article is not in keeping with Wikipedia's 'Neutral Point of View'
A number of points:
- Please refrain from editing or wiping out the comments of others. See the guidelines for Talk pages.
- Please see the Verifiability policy. Please supply a source readily available to others to verify the CBE claims.
- If indeed the previous article violates NPOV, then please do not remove the content. Rather, place a NPOV tag (see the NPOV page for the format) on the page, and then discuss your reasoning here on the Talk page. Additionally, if the article contains facts, but are stated in a non-NPOV way, please edit the claims to make them neutral, rather than omitting the facts altogether.
- I have reverted the article.

Response
- Likewise, do not delete my input. What I have put on the page is 'factual' not allegations from political activists.
- I have reverted the article to show the 'facts' - and will keep doing so!
-
- You have not demonstrated POV in the article. It lists many references. Can you provide reason to believe that these allegations are not true?
-
- In any case, these allegations, true or not, do stand. A Wikipedia article of Ian Henderson should address these. If they are blatantly false, it should say so. If it's not clear, it should present both sides.
-
- You have not yet provided a readily available source for the CBE claims. This is a violation of Wikipedia policy, as I pointed out above.
-
- If you do not address these issues, I'm afraid I will have to request arbitration Beetle B. 06:23, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Response
- I have provided source of the CBE - HM British Government - the CBE and other awards are also listed in 'Honoured by The Queen' - published by the Belgrave Press 1995.
- OK. I have merged the two versions together, as you did not demonstrate POV, or dispute the sources provided in that version. Beetle B. 05:14, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Response
- OK. I accept, but I have altered the format, added a little to make the article more balanced and improved the English!!
