Ian Roberts (footballer)

Ian Roberts (born April 3, 1957) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League.
Roberts was a supporter of VFL club South Melbourne as a child, and was later recruited to Souths from Frankston. He made his VFL debut with Souths in 1979 and made his name as a back pocket player.
In a long career with Souths spanning 13 seasons, Roberts played 157 games (booting 33 goals), retiring at the end of 1991.
