Ian Clayton (b. 4 September 1959 in Featherstone, West Yorkshire) is a British writer and broadcaster. In over 20 years of freelance adventure he has edited and authored more than forty books and broadcast on TV and radio. As an animator, Ian has run education workshops from infant schools to University’s, working regularly with musicians on opera and music theater projects. He has worked across Europe as well as the United States.

Ian has worked with Yorkshire Art Circus for twenty five years. He currently presents a documentary series for Yorkshire TV called My Yorkshire and is a regular radio broadcaster and workshop leader for numerous cultural institutions. An interview with Ian was broadcast in May 2008 on BBC Radio4's 'Woman's Hour' which is available on 'listen again' online on the BBC website.
