Reid, I am familiar with your work and I highly disapprove of your methods.

But goddamit, you've got one heck of a brain, kid.

Literally, he has one in a jar.

[edit] Image:Surfacegyri.jpg

Hey, I really like your Image:Surfacegyri.jpg creation, but the text for supramarginal gyrus is difficult to read. I was going to change this, but rather than stepping on your toes, I figured I'd just see what you thought, and if you would be willing to change it. ---

Iamnotanorange, I contacted Rod Nave (rodnave@gsu.edu) about these images, and he stated that they are his. He agrees to their use as "free for educational non-profit use", which as I understand it is neither public domain nor GFDL. IANAL, maybe you came to some other understanding? Is there some "fair use" standard that I don't understand here?

If these are not public domain, I plan to make drawings (from actual cochleae) and contribute them to Wikipedia under GFDL. I have recently resolved to make 3 variants of figures and photographs, because this copyright thing keeps coming up. (One for me, one for the journal, and one for public domain.)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Cochlea.gif

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Cochlea.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 02:13, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Slide10.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Slide10.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Musicsense.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Please don't increase the size of thumbed images; the point of thumbing them is so that readers can decide whether or not to see the full-sized version. By increasing the size you defeat the object. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 11:12, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hey hi, Reid

Hey. Just wanted to say hi, since I got back to Serbia. I'll upload some of the images I made, so you can see yourself :) Bye --Filip (§) 14:46, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Yup. Had a great time. Anyways, I've uploaded the photos and you can find them here. The photo with you, in particular, is here. About the Japanese food: funny you should mention it - I ate sushi rolls in NYC where I was staying with my friends, just 3 days after my sushi-virginity has been taken away in Boston. :D See ya. --Filip (§) 20:32, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Abadia Retuerta Cuvée Palomar

It's always nice whilst on a new page patrol to stumble across an article which is well written and complete - just thought I'd pop by and say well done! :-) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Verisimilus (talkcontribs) 21:31, 11 April 2007 (UTC).

Hello, I have challenged the notability of several articles that you have started on wine labels. Please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Abadia Retuerta Selección Especial for the discussion. Thanks, BanyanTree 02:53, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:EYEBALLfestival.JPG

A tag has been placed on Image:EYEBALLfestival.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I8 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on the Wikimedia Commons under the same name, or all references to the image on Wikipedia have been updated to point to the title used at Commons.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Optigan13 (talk) 17:05, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
