[edit] Notability of Suzanne van Veen

A tag has been placed on Suzanne van Veen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ŞůṜīΣĻ¹98¹Speak 00:58, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Stub sorting

Hi, I've noticed you've created a few stubs recently, and tagged them with the uncategorised {{stub}} template. It would be very helpful if, where possible, you could use a more specific stub template, such as {{cyclist-stub}} - a full list can be found here. Thanks, Jeodesic (talk) 16:22, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Greetings from WikiProject Cycling!

Thank you for your recent contributions to one of Wikipedia's cycling-related articles. Given the interest you've expressed by your edits, you may be interested in the Cycling Portal. Also, if you intend to edit more cycling-related articles, have you considered joining WikiProject Cycling? It's a group dedicated to improving the overall quality of all cycling-related articles and we really would appreciate your input.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask at the project talk page, or feel free to ask me on my talk page.  SeveroTC 20:19, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Mass creation of articles

You have created a huge number of articles over recent days for Cyclists, the majority of which fail to show their notability. Please ensure that;

  1. All articles that meet WP:N are properly sourced and show why they are notable
  2. All articles that don't meet WP:N are tagged for deletion by adding {{db-author}} to the top

[edit] AfD nomination of Kenny Williams (cyclist)

I have nominated Kenny Williams (cyclist), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kenny Williams (cyclist). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Mayalld (talk) 15:22, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Palmares

It looks to me like you are changing all the Major achievement sections in the whole wikipedia (at least for cyclists). There is a Usage section for Template:Palmares start that you could try to follow.--Drunt (talk) 09:29, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

And please don't create of unknown riders such as Gabriel Brizuela & Alejandro Acton. It's great that you want to help, but this an encyclopaedia and not a cycling website!! Mango101 (talk) 20:52, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bobsleigh articles

I appreciate what you are doing with the bobsleigh articles, but please do not put down that you entirely created these articles such as Sandra Kiriasis, Valerie Fleming, or Helen Upperton. Click on the history behind those articles and you will see that you are not the only one to do so. Please remeber that in Wikipedia process is important and it takes a team effort though some of us (myself included) usually contribute to article all by our lonesome. Chris (talk) 02:48, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

That's better. You will get the hang of it over time. Chris (talk) 03:49, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
