Ialibu is one of the districts of the Southern Highland Province of Papua New Guinea. The are two significant land marks are Mt Ialibu and [Mt Giluwe]. Mt Giluwe is the third highest mountain in Papua New Guinea. Ialibuans are peace loving people. There two languages spoken in Ialibu. They are the Kewabi and Imbongu languages. Honorable Peter Oneil and Honourable Francis Awasa are the elected members of Parliament for the Kewabi electorate and Imbongu electorate respectively. Ialibu Museum was established in the 1990s. Ialibu is connected by roads to the rest of the world. Ialibu does have a certified airstrip which is yet to be operational. Communications services are through radio, mobile phone and landline phones. The communication services are provided by PNG Telecom. The National TV which is EMTV is telecasted through out Ialibu.

Land Mark Infrastructure The most significant land mark feature is the PNG Telecom telecommunication tower. It is situated right in the middle of the administration centre.
Arts and Crafts Ialibu is known for weaving and selling vegetable baskets. This is one of the many ways which many rural people earn a living.
