Iain Lauchlan

Iain Lauchlan is a Scottish actor and playwright. He started out his television career in Play School programs such as Fingermouse (where he played the Music Man) and Playdays. While he was at Playdays, he met Will Brenton and formed a company called Tell Tale Productions, which was used as a vehicle for joint writing ventures. The pair went on to write such programmes as The Fun Song Factory, The Tweenies, Hi 5 and BB3B using Tell Tale. They sold Tell Tale in fall 2004 for US$5.6 million to Entertainment Rights.
Iain is well known for playing a pantomime dame in various locations across the UK and now runs a new company with Will Brenton called Wish Films, who produce with Entertainment Rights the pair's latest creations Jim Jam & Sunny for ITV1.
In addition to his children's television work, Iain has also guest-starred on a number of British TV programs, including Casualty, Hamish Macbeth, Lovejoy and Taggart.
