I Wrote a Simple Song is an album by Billy Preston released in 1971. This album is the first of Preston's album that included Gospel songs. The song "You Done Got Older" is derived partly from the Beatles' hit "Get Back". The instrumental "Outa-Space" won a Grammy Award for best song.
