"I Want You" is a 1966 song recorded by Bob Dylan which appeared on the album Blonde on Blonde. It was also released as a single in June and reached number twenty on the Billboard Hot 100.
It is widely thought[weasel words] that there are references to The Rolling Stones member Brian Jones in the line "the dancing child in his Chinese suit", with a reference to The Rolling Stones in the line "I thought time was on his side", a reference to the Stones' cover song "Time Is on My Side". This came as a result of a friendship Dylan had struck up with the founding member of The Rolling Stones in the mid-sixties.
