I Paralyze is the eighteenth album by American singer Cher, released in 1982 and produced by John Farrar. This album, like several preceding it, was a commercial failure, but it is regarded by critics and fans alike as a highly underrated work. The songs "When the Love is Gone" and "The Book of Love" were both composed by Desmond Child. Following the record's release, Cher took a five year hiatus from music to focus on a film career, which brought her much acclaim.

In recent years, Cher has expressed an interest in re-recording the title track, 'I Paralyze'.
