[edit] CD numbering
Hmm, not sure if this is a historical artifact or useful, but I have the EP and on the case there's a sticker that labels it as "1 of 3". Likewise, while I was in the store I saw that the regular single was labeled "2 of 3" and the limited edition "3 of 3". Now, I understand this had to be some kind of collector incentive sort of deal, but does this have any bearing on anything here? If they didn't actually come out all at once... was this some kind of separate printing run?
I seem to remember something about this at erasureinfo.com, but most of the discography seems to be down (and I have no idea where those cover images are coming from, in the meantime). –Unint 05:26, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- They were packaged with that "__ of 3" dealie to entice buyers to get all three, but the EP was released a week or two after the first two "regular" singles. My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I think it had something to do with the ever-changing wacky UK singles chart rules at the time. My guess is that ILS wouldn't be eligible to chart if all three parts were released at once. And the images I obtained from erasure's site a while back, although I saw today that they've removed larger versions of their single artwork for the older stuff. When I ran into that, I just did an internet search for a slightly larger pic. But don't tell anyone :-) -- eo 05:38, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
