[edit] Suggestions for More Information
Why hasn't anyone described/written about Tiffany's mother? She plays a large (and dramatic) role on the show.

Why isn't the Flavor of Love/ I Love New York blog listed as an external reference? (Disclosure: It's my blog) The blog has interviews with the guests. The shows contestants comment on the blog and New York's manger comments frequently. I think that makes it credible. The address is http://flavoroflove.blogspot.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by Steupz (talk • contribs)

There should be a piece on the beef between Whiteboy and Tango that has included threats on MySpace and on the I Love New York blog.--Steupz 08:57, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism
Some users have completely vandalized the article. I nominate for semi-protection from vandal IP addresses. Bearly541 12:05, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] New Eliminations
What about Episode 2 Eliminations? Trendz, crazy Romance, and Token were eliminated, I suggest someone add that.
I think that it is completley unfair that other people cannot edit this page. People want to make corrections to the page and make it look better than than to just post something that is comepletey incorrect in the eye's of the public. I think that this article needs to be unprotected, to give people a chance to post new things and post CORRECT information. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.38.2.142 (talk • contribs) 00:34, 19 January 2007 (UTC).

- Unfortunately prior to the protection, this article was subject to a decent amount of vandalism. What exactly in this article is "completely incorrect"? ⇔ EntChickie 02:18, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
I just wanted to fix up some things such as the chart on the page because there are just little things here and there that i just want to fix. Im sorry that I said there was incorrect info...I just wanted to help fix small errors with the way things look
[edit] Removal of protection
Alright, the only thing that I wanted to touch up a bit was the elimination chart...I started it from the beginning, and by reading the summaries on vh1.com I know how people will be eliminated on the upcoming two shows. I also wanted to change the way that the Episode 3 colomn looks, there should only be 12 spaces underneath it to show that there are only 12 contestants left so far. There should also be a gray color underneath remaining contestants to show that contestants from the previous show have been eliminated. If you do not know what I am talking about when I am talking about this gray color...look at the Flavor of Love page and took at the Eliminations charts there. Thanks.
[edit] Episode 3 Plagiarism
The third episode is a direct copy on the VH1 site. Could anyone please correct that? Thanks. Real96 07:42, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- Corrected. Real96 10:24, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Episode List
The episode list can be found here on TV Guide. I took the liberty of updating the sixth episode. Real96 08:14, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- The elimination list should be synonymous with TV Guide in order to not violate WP:CRYSTAL. Real96 01:49, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Why can't I Edit
Im not really that new, and I'm watching the show now as it progresses, and I would like to edit the section showing the callout order, so i cant put the order "New York" calls out. Its dumb doing this.
Callout Order (Ep. 4)
- Chance
- 12 Pack
- Real
- Whiteboy
- Tango
- Rico
- Mr. Boston
Eliminated
- Onix
- Heat
Dislecksik 02:50, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- I think another user was editing the page at the same time as you were, thus causing an edit conflict. However, after the episode, you can write a summary of what the episode is about, because someone will always beat others to the editing of the call out order. Real96 03:33, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Episodes
Why does each episode have its own page? Flavor of Love, which is basically the same thing but with Flavor Flav, has all the episodes on the page. I mean season one and two. Bit long, yes, but it's not over twenty pages for one frickin' season. Can you put all the episodes on this page? Make the summaries (which suck a bit right now. The third episode's summary confused me some when I read through it once because here it says the one guy voluntarily withdrew. There it says he got kicked off. Plus the wording is weird) shorter or even, if someone hates the idea of making two shows that are just like each other the same page-wise, put the episodes on the same damn page. Babylon pride 23:35, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- Please see this. Real96 23:46, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'll comment there. Babylon pride 01:24, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- babylon pride, I suggest you read on wikipedia policies. Have you heard of "wikipedia is not a paper encyclopedia?"
- Thanks. I'll comment there. Babylon pride 01:24, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
In the episode Momma's Boys, a small error occurs in which an "S" is missing from the end of a word, " However, when New York gives Chance the chain, he takes the chain off at first and wonder(S) if Sister Patterson will follow up with her offer
- Done And please sign your comments. Thanks! Real96 04:29, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
In the Reunion Section it says that all 20 guys reunited to discuss the season, then it says 3 of them could not be there. This contradicts what was just said. Also, it was Rico, Jersey, and Pootie that could not be there for the Reunion. Token WAS there for the reunion, and he is stated as not being there in the article, it should say Jersey wasn't there instead of him. Can someone fix this, please?
[edit] Trivia
T-Money is not an alumnus of Deerfield, he is an alumnus of a day school in his hometown (I don't really think it's important and don't want to be the one to post his personal information online, which is why I'm not naming the school he actually went to) Againagain 05:23, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, you can delete it. Real96 21:44, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Playa del Carmen v. Playacar
Playacar is a small resort center in Playa del Carmen. DvonD 02:15, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- I am going to make an article about Playacar. Thanks! Real96 02:33, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- That's a great idea! This article's language should read Playacar in Playa del Carmen, Mexico as the city of Playa del Carmen is the location in Mexico. In the same manner, one would not say that one travels to the Empire State Building, New York or Montmartre, France, but one would travel to the Empire State Building in New York, New York or the Montmartre district in Paris, France. Cheers! DvonD 02:40, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Chance hasn't won

[edit] CHANCE DID NOT WIN!!!
WHY is the article locked? its wrong! chance didnt win. plus why was it posted before it aired???
[edit] VH1 Poll to be added to Trivia section?
Since the article is semi-protected, just wondering if it might be relevant to show that during the final episode viewers texted their votes and the majority said that Chance should win the competition. Thanks! Pointeprincess 02:14, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

- Also a little different topic but I just so happened to notice this quote.
-
- "The first commercial for the series aired on December 3, 2006 during the VH1 2006 Big Awards show."
-
- I do believe that the correct name of the awards show was Big In 2006. Could this be fixed as well? Pointeprincess 02:32, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, well I would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction then. ;-)209.247.22.92 00:27, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- Just wanted to add this. And I quote..."If you are prevented from editing this article, and you wish to make a change, please discuss changes on the talk page, request unprotection, log in, or create an account." Is this not the talk page? ;-)209.247.22.92 00:30, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

- Wow, I don't think we're on the same page here. I'm not discussing the show itself, I'm trying to make changes to the page, but I can't since I'm a new user. The changes I'm requesting are 1)That we add the poll that was taken by cellular text to the "Trivia" section, and 2)To correct the name of the awards show during which the first commercial aired. This is the place where I should be asking to change the page, and if you want to make any more suggestions you can post them here or on my talk page. And if you can, please make my proposed edits to the page!Pointeprincess 03:03, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

(reduce indent) If the poll is reliable (a la you can provide a source to it) and the poll is generated by a well known company, I can post it. Provide the link please. Real96 03:06, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Here is the link: [1] And here is the link with the correct name of the awards show: [2] Thank you! Pointeprincess 18:12, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Sorry for the confusion, I was talking to whoever wrote "Man I'm sorry Chance didn't win" comment. I'm just going to remove that, and my discussion about it. Anaxamandra 14:54, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Haha, I just realized that after the fact. My apologies as well!Pointeprincess 18:07, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] TRIVIA: NY IS PREGNANT WITH TANGO'S CHILD
omg why are people writing things that are not true? this article should not be locked seriously, thats just plain stupid tango's having NY baby where did that info come from???? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.166.130.91 (talk) 02:26, 4 April 2007 (UTC).
I removed the comment about New York being pregnant with Tango's baby. I agree this needs citation as specified by WP:CITE. Anaxamandra 18:10, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- If this fact was written on Wikipedia without any credible information, this would be a violation of WP:BLP and would constitute slander (which is a SERIOUS offense). Thanks Anaxmandra for removing this comment. Real96 19:59, 4 April 2007 (UTC)\
<--personal attack removed-->
- This page is to discuss changes made to the article, not comment on the show's content.--Pointeprincess 20:48, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] In Jail
This is just me telling you all that it is Rico who is in jail please don't ask me how I got this info its private.
- That may very well be true, but 1)You must sign your talk posts, and 2)If you can't verify the information then it can't be posted.--209.244.188.186 03:25, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Two things, One it is just to inform it is not meant to be posted and like I said private info, I'm very sorry I can't give you anymore information
- This topic is irrelevant, because we are dealing with two core policies, WP:NOR and WP:BLP. If someone provides a link (not a BLOG link) to the incident, then the comment can be inserted. However, due to the nature of the show, IMO, I don't think this should be added since this deals with information which developed AFTER the show. Real96 18:45, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Changed Last Aired Date
- I changed the "Last Aired" date to present, as there will be a second season so the show is currently still in production. Jtervin 01:18, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
- I don't see any verification on this claim, so I reverted it back. Real96 07:59, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
- There is going to be a second season. I LOVE NEW YORK 2.

[edit] Controversial claims by [wwtdd.com wwtdd] & [mediatakeout.com MediaTakeOut.com]
"I Love New York" is a Sham Part 2 at wwtdd.com links to FRAUD!! NEW YORK AND SISTER PATTERSON ARE NOT RELATED!!! on MediaTakeOut.com. The basic claim is that "New York" isn't Tiffany Pollard at all, but a "Kenya Simmons" & that "Michelle Patterson" is an actress named "Leslie Bibbs." MediaTakeOut goes on to claim that the whole show itself was an "acting contest" to see who could act like they were falling in love. "I Love New York" is a Sham (Part 1) on wwtdd also links to TANGO'S GIRLFRIEND TO NEW YORK: FIND A NEW MAN!! on MediaTakeOut, but that is filled with the same old sort of rumors one might regularly hear. Anyhow, I'm not really "in" on the celebrity blogging scene, & was only linked to these as a fan of the show, so I don't know how much credence to lend the reports, or if the information merits inclusion in the article. I thought I should at least mention it, if other editors wanted to get their toes wet (cross-posted to Talk:Tiffany Pollard). --mordicai. 15:03, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- This is not verified and should NOT be added to the article per WP:BLP. Real96 09:40, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Good references
Just wanted to say thanks to the person who included all the references and links for the cast members. I found them to be very interesting and as did many other loyal ILNY fans. I never knew about all the cast's past acting, thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.241.46.108 (talk) 20:00, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
