TV.com summary |
I Love New York is a reality television series which is a spin off the Flavor of Love series. It airs on VH1 and features Tiffany Pollard (better known as "New York") in a quest to find her true love. The series is a spin off of another relationship competition series, Flavor of Love, which featured Pollard as a finalist in two consecutive seasons. Season 2's final episode was leaked to the internet a week before the TV air date. After I Love New York season one winner, Tango (Patrick S. Hunter) failed to deliver as New York's soul mate, Season two aired revealing Tailor Made (George Weisgerber) as New York's chosen flame.
In addition to Pollard, a host of other individuals from Flavor of Love, especially "Sister" Patterson, Pollard's mother, appear on the show to help choose the right man for her. Mauricio Sanchez was New York's assistant "Chamo," but only for the first season. The production of a second season of I Love New York was first announced during a commercial break for the April 29, 2007, episode of Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School.
On March 6, 2008, The Futon Critic reported that New York would star in New York Goes Hollywood. The show is expected to have 10 episodes at 30 minutes. Another report is that New York and Tailor Made will both star in their own reality show called "Only In New York".
On May 8, 2008, Bourgy.com reported one of the rejected bachelors from I Love New York will have a show that follows closely, the format of the Flavor of Love.
