Talk:I Hate Myself and Want to Die
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
While some places list the title as "I Hate Myself and Want to Die", most official sites and lists of lyrics list it as "I Hate Myself and I Want to Die." The latter seems to be the correct title. -Willmcw July 5, 2005 18:53 (UTC)
Agreed. Removing banner. -- Karada 5 July 2005 19:16 (UTC)
- It was originally titled without the second "I" on the Beavis and Butt-head compilation in 1993 and the "Pennyroyal Tea" single in 1994. The second "I" wasn't added until the song appeared on the With the Lights Out box set in 2004. --jh51681 17:54, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
- I redirected "I Hate Myself and Want to Die" to this article. -- SoothingR 19:17, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Page Move: 'I Hate Myself And I Want To Die' to 'I Hate Myself And Want To Die'
Please note whether or not you are in favor or against the moving of this page to a page with a more correct title. Ka5hmir 06:02, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- For: The one without the second I seems to be more correct as it was the title Nirvana used when the song was first released, on the Pennyroyal Tea single. Ka5hmir 06:07, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- For: The BMI listing gives no alternate titles. --jh51681 19:53, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- For: i was confused as to why it said the correct title had one i but then the encyclopedia itself used the wrong title!
- For: Cherry 12:05, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- I actually moved the page and corrected redirection. Cherry 12:09, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

- In regards to the BMI, the song Tourette's is listed without the apostrophe. Does that mean the song's listing in the In Utero article should be altered accordingly? -24.149.193.49 (talk) 18:51, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Pennyroyal5.jpg
Image:Pennyroyal5.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:39, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Surely it qualifies as fair use as a low-res album or single cover illustrating the song in question? Ka5hmirTalk To Me! 22:27, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
