[edit] LYRICS

I know this song by heart (in Italian) and I don't think the contents of the lyrics are accurately described. (I have made the corresponding changes)

For example, the article implied that the singer is speaking about the romance between himsef and the woman to whom the lyrics are addressed. That is not evident from the lyrics themselves - referring to her "lover", he speaks in the third person.

Also, there was the implicit assumption that, by having "grown up" (at fifteen!), she was "ready to face the world". Again, there is no such implication in the song; on the contrary, the song is very nostalgic in that it evokes the woman's "lost" childhood. It actually ends by saying that, having had a lover at the age of fiteen, she had turned her back on what - as she will eventually realise (that is the implication) - was "the best time (of her life)".
