"I Get Weak" is a pop song written by Diane Warren and produced by Rick Nowels for Belinda Carlisle's second album Heaven on Earth. The song reached number two on the US Billboard Charts in 1988. The video features a combination of color and black-and-white shots in the same frames. It was directed by Diane Keaton. The song was recently covered by Jordan McCoy.
This video portrays a bevy of eligible, artistically attired young ladies unself-consciously mooning over projected images of a man of passably Greco-Classical features portrayed by actor Tony Ward. That this was directed by actress Diane Keaton undoubtedly helps account for the refreshingly uninhibited, nay, ostentatious manner in which all of the wonderful giddiness and exhilaration of romantic infatuation is displayed. Fashionably-dressed women literally turn somersaults whilst gleefully soaring high through the air in the name of amorous ecstasy. All of the actresses appear downright delirious in the ways in which they are shamelessly and joyfully swooning and cutting up and ingratiating themselves before these highly stylized black-and-white film clips of a modern-day Adonis.
