"I Don't Want to Be" is a song by Gavin DeGraw appearing on his 2003 debut album Chariot. It was released as a single in Australia in 2004, and in the UK in 2005.
It is mainly known for being the theme song to the hit television drama series, One Tree Hill, seasons 1-4, and Dale Jr's Shifting Gears. The single became Gavin DeGraw's biggest hit to date, peaking at #10 in the U.S., and it was also certified Double Platinum, having sold over 400,000 paid downloads.
