If I see this on AfD, no hard feelings - but I'll still cast a keep !vote. =^^= --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 23:23, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] My thoughts
Didn't realize someone had already tried to write this. If anyone's up for a second shot, I'd strongly recommend writing a new section at Lolcat first and then splitting it off when/if it becomes big enough that it hinders readability - until that point, it's more useful to have all the info available at the same place, and would allow this site's financials to give some perspective on the commercialization of the meme. That said, contrary to comments in the AfD, the site has garnered significant press coverage all on its own. Check out the following:

- That's good to know! I wish we could source the statement about HappyCat ... it is true, but it is not (currently) verifiable. Now I kinda wish I had a paid account at Something Awful so I could look through the archives... --Iamunknown 09:08, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
