Kinross High School is a state school in Kinross, Scotland. It is located on the High Street of Kinross adjacent to the Police and Fire Stations. Currently the school has about 1107 pupils enrolled. A new school is currently being built a few hundred yards North of the exsisting building, near the local swimming pool and health centre which is just on the outskirts of the town near Milnathort. This new school is planned to be finished by 26/10/2009.[1] This new school is eagerly awaited as the current school is reaching capacity and is begining to "show its age".
Junior pupils (first-fourth year) are required to wear; black trousers/skirt, white shirt, a purple, green, yellow and red ties with a black jumper or v-neck but preferrably a purple woolen blazer. Senior students wear instead of the multicoloured tie, they wear an all purple tie with the school crest and are prompted to always wear the purple blazer.
