When is King Jordan's Birthday?

And what is I. King Jordan's first name? I can't find it anywhere. I King Jordan's first name is Irving

[edit] Vapour...

the source you cited (http://www.deafprofessional.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=189&Itemid=40) doesn't say Dr. Jane Fernandes' selection is met with protest because of her signing skills.

[edit] objectivity

I question the objectivity of the current article. To state that Jordan's legacy is "tarnished" over the events of the last few days is editorializing. It would be better to write that he has lost support or something like that. History alone can determine whether his legacy is tarnished.

  • I removed "Jordan is considered a pariah in deaf community, Gallaudet campus especially where the student body along with faculty and staff refuse to applaud his work as the president for 19 years." as an unattributed, overly POV statement. Qaz 00:42, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Plagiarism?

It appears that the substance of the biography was lifted from Dr. Jordan's bio page at Gallaudet. Compare the two to examine (paras. 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 on Gallaudet page). This should be corrected as soon as possible by a full rewrite.
