"I'm Sprung" was a success on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #8, becoming T-Pain's first Top 10 single. The single was also a success on the R&B charts, peaking at #9, while peaking at #17 on the Billboard Pop 100. While a big success in the United States, it was considered a moderate success in most European countries.

The song is about having love-type feelings for a girl, which in turn makes him do things he wouldn't normally do, just for her. He has since married the girl he wrote the song about.

There are many remixes of this song. One was featured on the album as "I'm Sprung Pt. 2", which features Trick Daddy and Youngbloodz. Another was the official remix, which features Stat Quo. The remix appears on the mixtape Big Business. The final official remix was featured on the UK release of the album and features Dizzee Rascal. But there is also a fourth remix that features rapper Lil Kia and one found with Pitbull. There is also a remix with dancehall artist Vybz Kartel.
