I'm A Teacher, Get Me Out of Here is a novel by Francis Gilbert, first published (hardback) in 2003 by Short Books, London.
A parody of the TV show (I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!) the title of the novel is pretty self-explanatory. It talks about a teacher's trials and tribulations in an inner city school, from training to teaching. The author reveals what really goes on inside these schools and how a teacher has to cope with them. With a wealth of experience, Gilbert bases his book on his own teaching experiences, much of the content being close to fact with only names and locations changed.
Well received by critics and selling relatively well, the novel was later released in paperback in 2005.
