IMDb profile

I'll Be Home for Christmas is a 1998 Christmas-themed movie.

Jonathan Taylor Thomas stars as a college student Jake Wilkinson attending school in California who has hardly ever been home for Christmas.

[edit] Plot

A few days before Christmas Eve, his father offers to give him a vintage 1957 Porsche if Jake is home in by 6:00 p.m. Christmas Eve (when the family has dinner). Jake prepares to go; however, a group of bullies leave him in the middle of the desert dressed as Santa Claus. The bullies were supposed to get a cheat list from Jake, but their leader Eddie Taffet (Adam LaVorgna) prevented it, unbeknownst to his friends, to get Jake out of the way and claim Jake's girlfriend Allie (Jessica Biel) for himself. Now, Jake has only three days to make it to Larchmont, New York if he wants the car and Allie.

[edit] U.S. TV Airings

I'll Be Home for Christmas aired on ABC a few times, before and after it aired on the Starz/Encore premium channels. Disney Channel originally aired it in 2002, but due to the reason, as of 2007, it hasn't shown on that station. But as requested, beginning in December 2007, Disney Channel might have the chance to air that film. In December 2007 the movie airs in syndication in the United States.
