The Hyundai Delta engine family is the company's smaller V6, ranging from 2.5 L to 2.7 L. Both share the same 75 mm (3.0 in) stroke and both are DOHC designs.

The G6BW (also called the 2.5 D) is the 2.5 L (2493 cc) version with an 84 mm (3.3 in) bore. Output is 168 hp (121 kW) at 6000 rpm and 167 ft·lbf (226 Nm) at 4000 rpm.

The G6BA (also called the 2.7 D) is the larger 2.7 L (2656 cc) version with an 86.7 mm (3.41 in) bore. Output is 173 hp (129 kW) at 6000 rpm with 182 ft·lbf (244 Nm) of torque at 4000 rpm. It has an aluminum engine block and aluminum DOHC cylinder heads. It uses MFI fuel injection, has 4 valves per cylinder, and features powder metal-forged, fracture-split connecting rods.
