User:Hyper Sonic
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello, and welcome to my Wiki page! As you know, my Username here on Wikipedia is Hyper Sonic. The reason I chose this name is that it was Sonic the Hedgehog's most powerful form in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. When the player collected the Chaos Emeralds in Sonic 3 and then the Super Emeralds in Sonic & Knuckles, he would have the same attributes as Super Sonic (Sonic's second form), but in addition he would glow with all of the colors of the Chaos Emeralds, would be impervious to drowning in water, could double-jump in any direction, and finally he could utilize an unbelievable special attack which could wipe out all of the badniks on-screen!
The reason you visited my page was probably because you saw me in the history of an article or because I appeared in a discussion. Or maybe it was because you are a die-hard Sonic fan like I am (thus the name "Hyper Sonic)! Whoever you are, thanks for visiting me!
If you have any tips, ideas, suggestions, or anything "Sonic-related", please post them in my discussion section. If you don't want to chat, all I ask is that you just post your signature so I know that you visited. Thanks for coming, and don't forget to play those Sonic titles!
(If you have another moment to spare, check out my game ratings! I'm taking the time to write reviews for a wealth of games that I have. This isn't easy, and it takes a very long while to do. I hope that they're useful.)

[edit] Hyper Sonic in Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Wow! I've finally collected all of the Chaos Emeralds and Super Emeralds, and now that I have experienced Hyper Sonic in action, I've made the final conclusion that this is Sonic's most powerful form in any of his games...ever. If you have access to Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles make no hesitation to begin your journey through the Special Stages. You'll be rewarded big-time!
- Chaos Emeralds: CHECK!
- Super Emeralds: CHECK!
[edit] Trivia
"Hyper Sonic" was the first and original project title for Sonic and the Secret Rings!

[edit] Nintendo Game Boy Advance Game Ratings
Here's a list of GBA games that I currently own. They're organized from the highest score I gave to them to the lowest score at the bottom. I always try to be objective. This list will most likely change very often since Nintendo DS games are getting more and more abundant. As a result, more GBA games are being tossed in the bargain bin. Most of the titles seen in this list rarely exceed $10 or $15, which means that I often get GBA games on sale. Some titles are true gems, but others aren't so flattering. Skim down the list if you like - some of these games might be in your collection! (Ratings subject to change. You know how it is. Once I buy a game, sometimes I get really hyped up and the score I give to it might be unreasonable. The games with "(NEW!)" next to them might change drastically in the weeks that follow their listing.)
[edit] Scoring Guide
- Gameplay: The overall experience of the plot, character development, configuration, in-game mechanics, slowdown, etc.
- Graphics: The visual elements in the game including outline and color variety.
- Audio: The sound quality in the game; includes BGM and SE. (Everyone has there favorite music styles, so depending on individual taste a score for this genre may be decided mostly by how the music appeals to someone.)
- Variety: Level dispersion and availability of different game modes
- Time Spent: The amount of time used playing the game. (This genre can be misleading at times for one can play a game for as long as he wishes to.)
- Value: The question, "Was it worth the purchase?" can be used in determining this.
- Overall: The complete experience of the entire game. (Similar to tilt used on some gaming websites.)
Well, there you have it! Enjoy! (The asterisks used for rating the individual genres are a 1 - 10 / 10 method.)
- F-ZERO GP Legend - (Positive: high-speed racing | endless track variety and great color selection | the audio was just astounding | tons of modes to keep the player playing for hours a day | wacky character design | multiplayer modes | a very reasonable pricetag / Negative: the track has noticable "big pixels" seen when the screen stops moving | the "bounce effect": if the driver hits a barrier alongside the track, he'll keep bouncing from side to side if he doesn't slow down / Cost: $5.96 - $6.96 )

[edit] Nintendo DS Game Ratings
Here's some DS titles that I currently own. At present, Game Boy Advance games can be bought dirt cheap, while DS games hover around the $20 - 40 area. So don't expect this list to dramatically increase any time soon. (I'm extremely selective on my DS title purchases. The two listed below are the only two I have, and I strongly recommend both of them.)
- Advance Wars: Dual Strike - (Positive: incredibly immersive gameplay | Story Mode is a truely unforgettable experience: 20+ missions accompanied by a very cool storyline | tons and tons of game modes | several playable characters | amazing BGM and SE variety | a slew of multiplayer modes | DS download play (only one DS game needed for up to four players) | you'll never run out of things to do / Negative: On Mission 21, a satellite threatens your forces on the ground. The player needs to destroy it in 50 minutes before it sends a shield on the black obelisk. Problem is, each time you're finished with a different team the game says Day 1, and then Day 2, and so on. Since Days are counted, wouldn't the satellite have sent its beam before the first Day is over? A glitch, but small. (The rest of the game foreshadows this.) / Cost: $19.99)

- SCORE -------- 9.7 / 10 - Unbelievable
- Sonic Rush - (Positive: furious gameplay speed | two different playable characters (Sonic the Hedgehog and Blaze the Cat) with two intertwined storylines | crisp graphics | toe-tapping rhythms all throughout, especially the Dead Line level | DS download play (only one DS game needed for two players) | all in all, a 2D side-scrolling masterpiece / Negative: Chaos Emerald collecting was a little too easy | two playable characters, but still (why can't we play as Tails or Cream!?!) | a slight lack of gameplay modes | multiplayer mode could have used another two-player game / Cost: $29.99)

[edit] Nintendo Wii Game Ratings
More will be added in the coming months, such as Wii Play and Sonic and the Secret Rings.
- Wii Sports - (Positive: incredibly simple and satisfying gameplay; the player's movement results in on-screen action | 5 fun and popular sports to play in | "Mii enabled" | multiplayer modes for each sport | several Training options | Wii Fitness Test keeps you coming back every day | can earn different Mii skill levels / Negative: Training Mode training courses are too easy to unlock | Baseball can get repetitive after a while | even though skill points can be earned, there seems to be a lack of depth in this idea / Cost: (bundled with Wii console))
