The Hyannis Armory is located in Hyannis, Massachusetts. The armory was built in 1958. John F. Kennedy accepted his nomination for presidency at the armory in 1960. The site is on the National Register of Historic Places[2]. The armory hosted Battery D of the 685th AAA Machine Gun Battalion. The site is now being talked about as a place to put a new performing arts center[3], which would be the second for the town, the first being at Barnstable High School.
