Hyæna is the sixth studio album by Siouxsie & the Banshees. Released by Polydor Records in the UK in 1984, this was the first Banshees album to receive a proper release in the United States, by Geffen Records (Geffen would eventually release the Banshees' entire back catalog - ironically, Geffen and Polydor are now owned by the same company, what's more is that Polydor now distributes Geffen's releases outside the US). "Dear Prudence", became the band's biggest hit in the UK, reaching number 3. The song was only intended to be a stand-alone single and appears only on the American version of Hyæna.
