Huw Warren

Huw Warren is a jazz pianist and composer. A graduate of Goldsmiths College and Guildhall School of Music, he is known for his work with June Tabor, Perfect Houseplants, and various groups. Warren has recorded several albums under his own name on Babel Label, including projects with violinist Mark Feldman, vocalist Lleuwen Steffan and bassist Peter Herbert. He won the BBC Jazz Award for Innovation in 2005. He is married to viola player Maria Lamburn. In 2006 he collaborated with former Crass artist Gee Vaucher to produce the film Gower Boy, described as a "gentle, contemplative exploration of the Gower peninsula in Wales" [1]. In 2007, he was artistic director of a new jazz festival in Llangollen.
