Hutsonville is a village in Crawford County, Illinois, United States. The population was 568 at the 2000 census.

Hutsonville is located at 39°6′33″N, 87°39′33″W (39.109142, -87.659262).[1]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 568 people, 239 households, and 164 families residing in the village. The population density was 819.7 people per square mile (317.8/km²). There were 269 housing units at an average density of 388.2/sq mi (150.5/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.94% White, 0.18% African American, 0.18% Native American, 0.70% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.70% of the population.

There were 239 households out of which 28.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.3% were married couples living together, 12.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.0% were non-families. 27.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 2.87.

In the village the population was spread out with 22.9% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 23.9% from 25 to 44, 25.4% from 45 to 64, and 19.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 91.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.3 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $33,500, and the median income for a family was $36,364. Males had a median income of $29,167 versus $20,000 for females. The per capita income for the village was $15,774. About 11.6% of families and 15.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 26.6% of those under age 18 and 4.6% of those age 65 or over. Ethan B.
