Hussainabad block

Hussainabad block is one of the administrative blocks of Palamu district, Jharkhand state, India. According to census (2001), the block has 29,113 households with aggregate population of 177,013. The block has 183 villages.

Hussainabad is connected via Bus and Rail Route. Small town Japla is main city to this block. This area is in North-West side of Jharkhand State. Not much development have been seen in this region, as this is Naxal affected area.

QILA, Fortress of Hussainabad :Ruins of historical fortress,now it belongs to three sisters (Shahida, Afsar & Azra) of Rizvi family. Ambedkar chowk : Important place for administration. Siddhanath cinema hall : Only cinema hall Gandhi chowk : It is oldest chowk of Japla. Islamganj : this place is very dense place in the heart of japla. Bada talab : it is oldest pond of japla. Shia Graveyard :The founder of Hussainabad and their family members are buried in this grave. It is next to the Imambada. Bhandar :This Bhandar was earlier used as storage space for agricultural produce and belonged to the family of Abbas Manzil.Now it is used as residential place, the owner of this place is Ms. Shahida Bano Rizvi.

Shaheed bhagat singh college : Only college of japla. Bakshi High School : Bakshi High School, is one of the oldest Government High School. This school is made by Rai Sahab of Kachra Garh. Among the prominent pass outs of this school is Shri Bhishm Narayan Singh who rose to become the Governor of Tamil Nadu. Saraswati Shishu/Vidya Mandir : This school is very old school of Japla having nice results of students. Many students of this school have gone to higher institution(eg. IIT,NIT&other medical colleges) and in big jobs.It shows a nice future of students and responsible citizens. Unity Public School :Unity Public School is located in Abbas Manzil. And very dedicated teachers are sharing their knowledge with the children of this region.

Actually this city is developed as an industrial city(Dewari Cemnet factory)the golden time for this city is when this factory is running now this is closed. its an only hope of the local people here that some day this industry will reopen and hussainabad block will regain its status.
