Husan Sharif was the last chieftain of the Zootis, and descendant of legendary Zooti Geddi Sharif. The Zootis are a gypsy group in the central Yemen Radaa/Guban region. Once key members of the gypsy/Jewish pseudo-tribes that flourished under the Taharid dynasty. Husan's ancestor Geddi Sharif rose to prominence in his community after coming from humble beginnings as a court juggler.
