[edit] GA passed
I can find no problems with the article that would prevent GA status. I have two small concerns for improvement, however:
- Image Image:Isis 1998 track.png states it "uses the color scheme from the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale". A link to that on the description of what the image shows wouldn't go amis, to let readers know what the color scheme means.
- In "storm history", there is a redlink to outflow (meteorology). Either create the article, or explain in this article what that means.
Other than that, a very nice article, and deserving of GA status! Well done! Blood Red Sandman Open Up Your Heart - Receive My EviLove 21:46, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Now, wait a second! I was the one who gave this article GA status,lol!--Princess Janay (talk) 12:54, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] A-Class
What the article needs before getting A-Class status is a discussion of the effects it had on the U.S. It says it dissipated in Idaho, so what else did it do? Rainfall totals in Nevada, Oregon and Idaho would suffice. Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 00:30, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- You got it. Hurricanehink (talk) 01:39, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- Cool. Now poke Thegreatdr to see if he can update the track map (and perhaps provide more granular rainfall info about Mexico; heck, Sonora is big, and saying that 8 inches fell somewhere is not very useful) and include the US goodies... ;) Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 09:31, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Improvements looking towards FA status
Having single-sentence paragraphs such as "Because the damage was not extreme..." is not FA-class writing. That should probably be integrated with the preceding para or expanded. Refs look good, but I'm not sure if the article is really broad enough for FA. VanTucky Talk 04:00, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Not another hurricane!!!
Yikes! Wikipedia mane page is becoming like the weather channel, or something. Enough with the hurricanes already!--137.82.36.214 (talk) 00:09, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- The last hurricane article was on the main page weeks ago. Also, you should be glad that these articles are being improved at such a good rate. Juliancolton (Talk) 00:14, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- The last Formula One article was on the front page months ago, and there are several that were promoted a lot further back than Isis too... not complaining, just sayin' ;-) 4u1e (talk) 18:10, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, but there are many more tropical cyclone featured articles. ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 03:00, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Inappropriate words
I, me, am personally deeply offended by the frivilous use of the word 'fart' in this context. My entire family (Gramps, ma, pa, brittany-jane, seth, todd, chuck, grammy, nanna, cousin brad, old uncle lenny and old spot my faithful labrador) was wiped out during Hurricane Isis. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.176.254.66 (talk) 14:28, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Semi-protection
This article is situated in dire straits. It needs immediate protection from IP vandalism. CVW (Talk) 22:41, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- This happens with every TFA. Once it gets off the main page, vandalism will slow down to nothing. And with only a few hours left, it isn't nessicary to semi-protect. Juliancolton (Talk) 22:47, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
