Hurworth School Maths & Computing College is a comprehensive school situated in Hurworth-on-Tees located in the borough of Darlington, England. The school caters for around 650 students aged 11-16. In 2006 93% of students achieved 5 or more A*-C grades in their GCSEs.
In 2007 the school was featured in the national press when a high-achieving Year 11 student was barred from attending the end of year prom for refusing to take part in after-school revision classes.[1]
