Hurricane Kenna (disambiguation)

The name Kenna was used for three tropical cyclones in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.

  • 1984's Tropical Storm Kenna - A 50 mph Tropical Storm that remained well out at sea in August 1984.
  • 1990's Hurricane Kenna - A minimal Category 1 hurricane that remained well out at sea in August 1990.
  • (not used in 1996)
  • 2002's Hurricane Kenna - Struck in October 2002 near San Blas, Nayarit, Mexico, as a Category 4 hurricane. One of the three strongest Pacific storms ever to make landfall in Mexico.

The name Kenna was retired in the spring of 2003, and will be replaced with Karina in the 2008 season.
