Hurricane Isabel (disambiguation)

The name Isabel was used for two tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean.
- 1985's Tropical Storm Isabel - Hit near Fernandina Beach- caused 180 deaths and over $200 million in damage from torrential rainfall in Puerto Rico
- 2003's Hurricane Isabel - One of the notable Cape Verde-type hurricanes which reached Category 5 strength. Made a landfall near Drum Inlet, North Carolina as a category 2 hurricane. Total damages were estimated at $3.37 billion.
The name Isabel was retired after the 2003 season, and will be replaced by Ida in the 2009 season.
Isabel can also be confused with Tropical Cyclone Isobel of the 1996-97 Southern Hemisphere tropical cyclone season and the 2006-07 Southern Hemisphere tropical cyclone season.
