The name Elena was used for three tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean.
- 1965's Hurricane Elena - remained in open sea.
- 1979's Tropical Storm Elena - made landfall in Texas as a weak storm, causing $10 million in damage and two deaths.
- 1985's Hurricane Elena - churned off the coast of Florida for three days before coming ashore at Biloxi, Mississippi; caused $1.25 billion in damage and four deaths; caused over 1 million to evacuate.
The name Elena was retired after the 1985 season, and was replaced by Erika in the 1991 season.
