The name Dennis has been used for five tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean. The name was retired in 2006 and it was replaced by Don in 2011 Atlantic hurricane season.
- 1981's Hurricane Dennis - weak storm that caused moderate damage to Florida and the Carolinas due to heavy rainfall.
- 1987's Tropical Storm Dennis - formed off the coast of Africa and never made it to land.
- 1993's Tropical Storm Dennis - never threatened land.
- 1999's Hurricane Dennis - grazed the Bahamas and stalled off North Carolina for a few days before making landfall there, causing $157 million damage in the United States and four deaths in Florida.
- 2005's Hurricane Dennis - the most powerful hurricane ever recorded in July at the time, slammed Cuba and hit the US Gulf Coast with substantial damage; killed 56 in Haiti, 16 in Cuba, 15 in the US and 1 in Jamaica.
- The name Dennis was retired in the spring of 2006, and was replaced by Don in the 2011 season.
