The name Dean was used for five tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean. The name was retired after 2007, and was replaced by Dorian for the 2013 Atlantic hurricane season.
- Tropical Storm Dean during the 1983 Atlantic hurricane season, which struck the coast of Virginia, causing minor erosion and flooding.
- Hurricane Dean (1989), which passed over Bermuda, causing $10 million in damage and 16 injuries.
- Tropical Storm Dean during the 1995 Atlantic hurricane season, which caused significant flooding damage to Chambers County, Texas, but no injuries or deaths.
- Tropical Storm Dean (2001), causing $7.7 million in damage to Puerto Rico and minimal damage to the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- 2007's Hurricane Dean , a Cape-Verde hurricane and one of the most intense hurricanes ever recorded in the Atlantic.
- The name Dean was retired after the 2007 season, and was replaced by Dorian for 2013.
