The name Bob can refer to one of the following:

  • 1979's Hurricane Bob - Hit Louisiana, killing one and causing $20 million in damage. It was the first hurricane in the Atlantic to have a male name.
  • 1985's Hurricane Bob - Crossed Florida as a tropical storm and made landfall again at in South Carolina.
  • 1991's Hurricane Bob - Struck New England and the Canadian Maritimes, killing 17 and causing $1.5 billion in damage.
  • The name Bob was retired in the spring of 1992, and was replaced by Bill in the 1997 season.
