Hurrah!
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hurrah! were a British indie pop band who were associated with the C86 movement. After releasing a handful of singles on Kitchenware label, they band signed to Arista Records for the release of their debut long player Tell God I'm Here.[1] The band went on to support U2 at Wembley Stadium and played live shows in Iraq, Egypt and Jordan after accepting an invitation from the British Council.[2] In 1987, Hurrah! became unlikely victims of controversy when the video for their single, "Sweet Sanity" (which featured two ladies holding hands), was banned from American television.[3]
