I agree with this writer in this area now we also have a large Flower Distributor in the Hunts Point area and studys all across the board needs to be looked at again!

I am going to have to dispute the neutrality of this article, especially with respect to the statement near the end:
"This move will bring 650 workers from the market's former location into the area, with an additional 3000 diesel truck trips through Hunts Point bringing the weekly total to 60,000 and ensuring that the area's asthma rates remain the highest in the nation for decades to come."
I would definitely love to ask that the author provide sources for this apparent assumption.

- Radiooperator is welcome to take a look at the three references now linked within the article including: interviews with the market's fish mongers, NY Metropolitan Transportation Council trucking stats for that market, and a NYTimes article linking truck exhaust in the area to high asthma rates.
