I don't know where the external links got their info from, but here is what Youngs has to say on the subject (abbreviations expanded)
- "HUNDERSFIELD. Ecclesiastical parish, created 1746 from the ancient parish of Rochdale, seperate ecclesiastal status not sustained. Rochdale Rural Deanery."
That's it. Certainly not an ancient parish, not a civil parish, and certainly not "split up" in 1894: the historical record here is quite well documented and it is known that these townships and chapelries became civil parishes in 1866 anyway. Morwen - Talk 10:19, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
